A calming day of mindfulness, meditation, relaxation, and self-compassion: Achieving Quiet calm and emotional resilience in a busy world.November 24  2018  from 10.00am until 3.00pm
At the beautiful Quaker meeting House in Disley

This gentle and uplifting retreat is Suitable for all who have completed Mindful Self-Compassion, MBSR training, anyone who has attended my workshops or day retreats before, have a formal meditation practice,  or you simply want to come along and experience peace and quiet in good company and explore the benefits of a silent guided retreat.

Being peaceful within is supported by quiet reflection and gentle guided meditation without the pressure to speak or join in conversations , you are enjoying the good company of others experiencing the same delight and joy of accessing a state of peaceful calm as the day unfolds. When you arrive at the beautiful Quaker house you begin to feel the peace and nurturing gentleness of nature it is nestled in. Being able to explore nature mindfully and without intrusion from conversation is not only nourishing and grounding but is deeply uplifting, and we have this opportunity as part of this day.

You arrive and meet others looking forward to some peace and quiet before the holiday season gets into full swing and as the Autumn and the year begins to draw to a natural close. We begin with welcome drinks and introduction to the day and this part is not in silence. I will then begin the day and lead you through some beautiful mindful self-compassionate meditations, that nourish and replenish the mind and body. We then have breaks and share lunch in companionable silence where you have the opportunity to really enjoy the food mindfully, tasting the flavours, feeling the different textures – research shows that this improves our digestion greatly.

This beautiful day is drawn to a close as we come out of silence and have an opportunity to share and reflect on the day, ready and replenished for the months ahead.

This is a gentle Autumn day retreat for reflection to support your own self kindness and care as we move into the winter and festive season
