I am pleased to announce the following retreat dates for your diary- these dates are provisional and dependent on timely receipt of the deposits to Willersley so do get in touch as soon as you can.

  • 9-11 October 2020  -places available -theme to be confirmed
  • 29-31 October 2021 -places available  -theme to be confirmed


Please note that the deposits for the Spring retreat for 2020 are due asap and are £50 non-refundable. Places are limited to 14 and early booking is advisable as I have repeat attendees every year. You can send me a cheque or pay via bacs

The full cost which includes en-suite accommodation from Friday until Sunday , (all meals served at the table in courses except for the breakfast which is buffet style), guided retreat, and materials, and refreshments is remaining at 2019 prices £280.

IMPORTANT : There is a discount of £30 for those who have attended before,introduce a full paying friend, or are ‘six weekly gatherers’

I have booked Willersley Castle Hotel in Cromford for another two years  2020 and 2021 for the annual Mindful self- compassion weekend retreat I  facilitate – this is open to all who have completed the MSC training or have a formal meditation practice, and have completed other mindfulness- based courses.

It is a beautiful setting and the staff always offer a warm welcome.

How to book your place

The £50.00 deposit is non-refundable but can be transferable and refunded if someone else takes the space. The number of places is limited to 14 so do get in touch asap.

All rooms are en-suite and have a television. I have seen the rooms and they are cosy, clean, and have tea making facilities- happy days!! There are twin rooms available and single rooms at no extra cost. All ground floor rooms are single rooms

The retreat centre is within walking distance from Cromford station a few hundred yards or less, so no need for a taxi.

Considerations before booking: I will send out a form for completion, and please note that the mews building is a short walk from the main building and the swimming pool up hill.

The  weekend will run from 4.00pm on the Friday until 3.00pm on the Sunday, and includes a full breakfast on the Saturday and Sunday, a 3 course evening meal (all diets catered for and the food is excellent) on Friday and Saturday, and a 2 course lunch on Saturday and Sunday, refreshments morning and afternoon and on arrival on the Friday, full use of the facilities, which includes a beautiful tranquil pine lodge swimming pool, towels for this are provided and it is nestled in the 60 acres of beautiful countryside on the estate- just short walk up from the mews which will be our home for the weekend- this is separate from the main hall but we will have breaks, meals, and socializing in the main building, and all workshops on the weekend will be facilitated by myself.

The cost is  £280.

NB There is a £30 discount per Weekend retreat for MSC six weekly gathering members, and previous retreat attendees. The retreat will run from Friday early evening until Sunday at 4.00pm.

Extras:  the Castle have advised us to bring will be a torch and a hot water bottle if you are prone to get really cold for the Autumn retreat, although the building is well heated- it is either on or off, and will go off at night.

Payment plan, Terms and conditions:

Autumn 2019 weekend retreat

A deposit of £50.00 and booking form completion will secure your place. The rest £230 can be split into 2 further instalments of £115.00 in August and September on 1st of each month, or  payable in full by 1 October. October 8 is the latest date when the balance is due to be paid to Willersely Castle Hotel and after this date only a 50% refund will be available unless the space can be filled- as per the Hotel instructions
