Hello and welcome to my May newsletter 2019

NB:Since the publication of this newsletter some dates and venues and prices have changed.

Well here we are almost half way through the year and already I am sure there have been many changes and challenges for you as there have been for me. Life is fluid- although many of us enjoy life being on an even keel with routine and regularity and certainty- the one thing we can be sure of is that life is ever evolving and changing and there is no certainty. The present moment is the only reality and all things come to pass. It is how we manage life’s inevitable ups and downs and how we respond that matters.
Resilience is an important attribute to develop and it enables us to get the best out of life and thrive rather than just survive.
May includes mental health awareness week and stress awareness month took place in April- highlighting this important area of our overall well-being.

Its exam time!

This time of year is especially important and can be stressful for teenagers as they sit down to exams and I have written an article to offer tips and guidance to support parents and teenagers during this time
I am looking forward to introducing new workshops and courses to improve health and well-being and emotional resilience over the coming months and blogging on important topics more regularly.
May is a special month for me as I look back over the first half of the year and what I have overcome and experienced. As a regular reader you will note that I did not produce an April newsletter. During April I finally closed my Chinley doors and moved my heart and practice to Knutsford- keeping a piece of my heart always for Chinley.
I am truly excited about opening my door at Room 5 , 98 King street, Knutsford, WA16 6HQ and look forward to welcoming existing clients and new. Here, I am also now offering a well-being and stress management consultancy tailored specifically to build emotional resilience and peak performance.

Are you sleeping well?

How often do you wake in the middle of the night and check your alarm to see how long you have left to sleep, only to find that you are now wide awake and feel like you have no chance of getting back off to sleep- it happens to us all once in a while, but if this becomes a regular occurrence it causes fear and anxiety, not to mention, physical fatigue and irritability- and that’s not all- research has shown there may be links to further more serious physical conditions if we do not rest and replenish our bodies properly.
The good news is, that even if we miss a few nights sleep, our intelligent bodies know how to take back what we need to recover our healthy pattern. It is a question of trusting your body and putting into practice some healthy sleep hygiene strategies.

One major factor in the promotion of emotional and physical well-being is getting a good night’s sleep  and I offer individual therapy sessions in my clinics and regularly run ‘sleeping well workshops’. The next workshop will be held in Knutsford venue TBC. Get in touch here if you would like help with sleeping well on a one to one basis or you would like to attend the workshop
I also continue to offer consultations in Poynton and have done for a number of years now – this is easily reachable from the High peak with the opening of the new bypass! 😊 and I will be here for some time. So do come and see me there!
I also offer skype as I have an international clientele, and this works well, especially if you have already met me and worked with me.

So, the green chair is finally settled in its new home!

Waiting to welcome you and support you on your journey to optimal well-being.
